Good day to you all,

We here at Bandidge HQ hope you had a good Easter, and that we can extend the festivities for a little bit longer by giving you some more treats in the way of musical tidbits.

There is a full update of Bandidge looming on the horizon, but more about that later. For now, get stuck in to the competitions and free videos/mp3's available right here!

If you haven’t seen Maximo Park’s video for latest single “Our Velocity” yet, then never fear! Just click here and let any fears of social outcasting melt away in the summer sun!

If you’re a Fields fan…then you’re in for a field day today! Ahem……

Fields are a group who have been given the blessing of imminent success by those in the lofty musical positions of the world, so you are probably advised to see what the fuss is all about.

Video links to Charming The Flames are available here, in Windows Media Hi/Lo, and Real Player Hi/Lo. You can also acquire the new album version of ‘If You Fail, We All Fail’, which was reviewed on this site in its earlier days right here!

AND! If that still isn’t enough, you can have a listen to their new album ‘Everything Last Winter’ here, and see if they are playing at a venue near you this month by clicking here!

Seventeen Evergreen don’t do half measures. ‘Haven’t Been Your Self’ is a truly incredible work of visual art, and should not be missed. If you haven’t caught it yet, then look no further than here, or here.

Alterkicks also released a new single called ‘Good Luck’ – why not see if it is to your acquired tastes by having a gander at a clip for the video?

Need more convincing? How about a free song to soften you up, like a football manager taking a bung – Click here!

Are you a Simple Kid fan? If you are currently looking at the screen, and exclaiming “Who?!” or “YES! I AM!” – then there is still time to brighten up your day and possibly do something creative (or just plain stupid.)

Simp wants you to contribute to his latest video, ‘The TwentySomething’ by filming a karaoke chain of events. It’s like the Feeder ‘Just A Day’ principle, but for 2007. You’ve got until the end of the week to get your entries in by the end of this week (Friday 20th), but its still worth a pop. Click here for a pop-up screen with more information!
Paul Steel is a crazy lad. Not in a Big Brother “ohh, im so ker-aaa-zeee!” loony-bin way, but in the cool way. You H-A-V-E to see the latest video to ‘Honkin’ (On My Crackpipe), just to allow you to initiate an amusing ‘It’s as addictive to crack’ anecdote for your friends when talking about it at a later date.

Windows Hi link here!

*Bandidge does not condone the use of crack, or anything else slightly naughty for that matter. And by crack, we’re not referring to your bottom…
For those who wondered where on earth The Waterboys had gotten to, then check out the rather fancy promo video links below for the ‘Book of Lightning’.

Simian Mobile Disco released ‘It’s The Beat’ whilst you weren’t looking. The video is another one to watch due to its creative mannerisms, so click here now! If you like what y’hear, then click here for a window of wonderful dates in the months of May and June!

Not content with just that though, they’ve also launched a competition to have them play a DJ set at your house! You’ve got until 18 June, so get grovelling to parents/landlords/buying a house/bombproof shelter and click the second window of opportunity!

Help She Can't Swim are releasing their ‘The Death of Nightlight’ LP on the 30th April. To keep you intrigued and salivating until that point, look at their current ‘Hospital Drama’ single in Windows Hi/Lo here.

The Shakes want a better life. See rather painful-looking limbs and good tunes in the form of the aptly named ‘I Want A Better Life’ at any of these links below.

Windows Media: Hi/Med/Lo
Real Media : Hi/Med/Lo

It’s a good thing to have The Cooper Temple Clause back, and they’ve released the rather great track ‘Head’ recently to ram home that point. Want to hear the Head Qemists remix too? Then look no further!

Battles are a genre-bending band, which can only be a good thing. Want to follow up that statement with a video? Preferably one with a giant revolving cube as evidence? Then look at Windows Hi and Windows Lo versions of ‘Atlas’ to add weight to the theory. There’s also a window of dates. Clicky!

Right - that's enough for this blog..

Ta Ta!
