A Letter From The Editor:

Dear Reader,

As you are probably aware, Bandidge is now on indefinite hiatus.

What does this mean for us? Well, to use the Blink 182/Red Hot Chili Peppers/Fall Out Boy interpretation, it means Bandidge will be frozen (like it has been since 2009), and won’t be back until the time is right – which may be some time.

The reason why is that a lot of the core Bandidge staff have moved onto bigger jobs and have graduated from university, meaning that the team doesn’t have the same resources to keep the site running.

For a while in 2009, it looked like Bandidge would be returning (hence the ‘Back in 2009’ imagery that was there for a long time), but unfortunately we couldn’t be assured of the longevity at the standards we always set ourselves.

Maybe once things have settled back down again, we can look at bringing back the beast, but for the meantime (for at least 12 months), I would suggest getting stuck into the Spotify playlists that we’ve created which document the era of 2007-2008 so well.

With over 400 artists, there’s plenty to enjoy.

I’d finally like to thank the writing staff, all the contributors, designers, coders, PR companies, friends, family and record company people – and most of all, you, the reader – for taking the time to read and support our humble site. These playlists are for you.
