The Academy Is...
We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands

With a ratio of one hundred girl fans to each guy, the band's new single is bound to keep their fans weak at the knees...

We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands is the bands first release from their 2007 album Santi.

Listening to this single, you wouldn't think it was the same band. The Academy Is have matured both musically and lyrically since their 2005 debut Almost Here. No longer singing about getting signed and making it big, the band really seem to have found their feet with this one.

It's a great choice of single. It's catchy, melodic and has 'sing-a-long' vocals a plenty, a song that will be heard on every radio station in the country before long.

William Beckett's voice can get slightly irritating throughout this song, and is probably a song best heard live, where the screams of the crowd drown this out a little. This is somewhat made up for however, with it’s captivating guitar riffs and clever lyrics, which may help the band to gain fans beyond their already dedicated fan base.

This single has all the emo ingredients it needs to be a hit.

A must-have for any Fall Out Boy fan.
