Helen Boulding is probably a name that most of the people do not recognise now, but it is certainly a name that we should keep in mind.

Boulding has a very sincere voice that catches you from the beginning and seems that she really feels what she is singing. This is probably because she writes her own songs, and that is exactly what makes you pay attention to her.
 
The start of Helen Boulding’s career is not a thing that we can call normal. She didn’t use any commercial way to spread her work – instead, she found a way to disseminate it by the word-of-mouth and the help of her close friends. Instead of knocking down the doors of every record label in the world to release her first album she decided to create her own, Maid In, which is based in her native Sheffield.
 
She now has a career that she can be proud of, having worked with some very talented artists, from Simon Tong from The Good, The Bad & The Queen to recently supporting Bryan Ferry.
 
Without doubt a name to pay some attention in the near future. Her first album, New Red Dress, will be released February next year.
