Does It Offend You Yeah?
Weird Science

If you like electronic bleeps and bloops and strange old videogame sounding samples, this song is definitely for you.

The song title definitely makes sense – it would fit right in as ‘Death Egg’ level music to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – especially when the song hits the three minute mark.

I can see Sonic now, running and spinning. Taking names and kicking ass. You may not agree with this interpretation, so feel free to write in and let me know what you thought of the track.

I thought of a word to associate this song with: fuzzy. Almost every single sample and/or instrument has been given the fuzz treatment, right down to the vocals and bass (which I find is the highlight of the song).

It makes for slightly uncomfortable listening at first, but as soon as you get through the filters there’s definitely a nugget of pop sensibility to be found.

This is a rarity nowadays: a dance song that doesn’t completely stink. While it doesn’t make for mind-blowing listening, you’re bound to have a bit of a jump up and down for shits and giggles.

I suppose that’s the only real intention of this kind of music – it’s all fun and games and it doesn’t need to take itself seriously.
