It’s the Brazilian invasion.
Edu K, featuring Marina Vello, the former member of the group Bonde do Role are here with the single Me Bota Pra Dancar. The result, of course, is explosive.
Me Bota Pra Dancar (or, Put Me To Dance) is techno/trash/dance/samba music with strong influences from Rio de Janeiro's Funk carioca (or Baile Funk) with trashy, sexy lyrics.
This music would not be the same without the Marina's voice that is certainly a mix of naivety/bitchiness, making this track sound even sexier. It would certainly put you on the dance floor, making you move even if you don’t understand a word of what they were saying - you will try to sing along all night.
Edu K is a Brazilian musician who already has a solo debut album from 2006, titled Frenetiko. That includes the famous single Gatas, Gatas, Gatas; a tune that is still playing in the clubs.
Now after release his first album, he decided to put one foot in the producing, mixing the bass beats on top of all the tropical flavours with the voice of Marina.
This song is becoming so big that even Italian D.J Crookers that already remixed names such as The Chemical Brothers and Moby decided to spice it up a bit on the B-Side.
Just let us wait for the second album to be released in autumn this year to see what he will next invent.
