For the Skins generation, this could well be one of the first anthems during 2008’s infancy – even more so as the accompanying video caused £10,000 worth of damage to their managers’ house – with the chorus building up to the line: “I’ll make you scream like you ain’t done it in ages!” – which is pretty much par for the course lyrically.

For others, this will be (for older listeners) just another Shampoo, who are bringing the attitude, a few infectious chorus lines and precious little else. The apparent musical leaning toward some of the most overplayed dance tracks of ’07 will split loyalties like a chasm, with some revelling in the replay and others reaching for any button that will cease the terribly predictable example of style over substance.
