Stay Positive: An Introduction
Between 2009 and 2011, I wrote a couple of three-part features about my experiences with Mild Depression entitled ‘Stay Positive’ (with tongue firmly placed inside cheek). It originally lived on an old Tumblr blog I had, so some of you may already be familiar with it, and featured plenty of pop culture links that may (or may not) be knocking about today.
I’ve changed a few of my views since those posts were originally uploaded (especially in part eight), and it’s a little dated in places, but it’s still worth a read if you’re interested in the mental health side of things. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss the features, and please use the links provided to contact a professional if you feel you’re in need of someone to talk to… because I’d be pretty useless at it!
"...As with everything in life, some people won’t make it, and his death was an all too vivid a reminder of how fine that line can be. Showing weakness is one of the hardest things, but it really shouldn’t be..."
